Picturesque meadows and fields stretching out on the gentle waves of the Ponida hills are not the only views you will experience while discovering this land.
Ponidzie is also a place where large forest complexes have been preserved. One of them, located south of Pińczów, creates conditions for the development of many species of unique plants.
The Ponidziański forest protected in the reserve is a thermophilic oak-hornbeam forest. It is built of oaks and hornbeams, but you will also find birch, spruce and pine here. What is most valuable in this forest is hidden in the undergrowth and undergrowth. For nature lovers, this place is associated with the numerous foot orchid and other orchids - the white poplar, the kukawka orchid and the broad-leaved helleborine.
Remember that the nature reserve is a kind of nature sanctuary. When visiting them, make sure that after your visit it remains as it was before your visit. And the only souvenir you will take away from here will be the photos of the plants you meet here.
