You certainly know many legends related to the Świętokrzyskie region. After all, it was here, in the boulder fields of Łysa Góra, that the legendary witches' sabbaths took place. It was here that a robber lived, for whom the devils prepared a "madej bed" in hell. It is here that the brave Halina Krępianka sacrificed her life to save Sandomierz from the Tatar invasion...
How do you know the legends of Świętokrzyskie? Possibly from a book, internet or audiobook. Or maybe someone told you a legend - grandma, guide or owner of agritourism? One way or another - the Świętokrzyskie legends existed only in the sphere of stories for years. But soon everyone will be able to experience the legends and meet the heroes of the most popular stories.
All this will be possible thanks to the multimedia exhibition of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains Heritage Park "Łysa Góra" (due to its theme, also called the Park of Legends).
A visit to the exhibition is a multimedia journey into the world of legends and stories. In the cinema room you will see a film whose heroes are those places of the region that are most closely associated with the most interesting legends. You will find that in each of them legends about events and characters whose existence is lost in the darkness of history are still alive.
The biggest attraction of the park, however, will be the educational path - 15 of the most interesting and well-known legends from the entire region will be presented in rooms filled with multimedia technologies. You will learn stories about cyclops, gołoborz and witches. There will be stories about robbers, Świętokrzyskie castles and cities.
The facility is scheduled to open in 2023.
