If you associate Chęciny only (or mainly) with the ruins of the royal castle towering over the town - it's time to change that!

Chęciny is a city full of monuments. If you are looking for tips on how to visit the most important of them, the Monk's Path will come to your aid.

The path is a walking trail. The monk patronizing it will take you to the most important sacral monuments of Chęciny. Wandering in its footsteps, you will not miss the hospitable Franciscan monastery, the beautiful church at the Bernardine monastery or the medieval church of St. st. Bartholomew.

Along the way, you will also see the historic tenement house "Niemczówka" with a historical exhibition and a professional tourist information center.

Where does the monk's path begin? Its beginning is considered to be the parking lot at the Franciscan monastery. You will find here a graphic map of the city with a marked hiking route, which ends at the foot of Góra Zamkowa near the church of St. st. Bartholomew. Near the latter location you will meet a symbolic figure of a monk - an ideal place for a commemorative photo from a historical walk around Chęciny.
