Wielowieś, today the northernmost part of Tarnobrzeg, used to be a separate settlement with a history dating back even to the 12th century.
Magnavilla (because this is the name Wielowieś functions in Latin) has been hosting a congregation of Dominican nuns since the 19th century. At first, the sisters lived in a modest vicarage, but soon began the effort of erecting their new house. It is worth mentioning that it was the first gathering of Dominican sisters in Poland.
The neo-Romanesque, contemporary monastery complex is surrounded by a garden with a very symbolic place - the grave of the founder of the congregation.
