Looking at the modest body of the church located on a hill, it is hard to believe that the history of the surrounding town dates back to the Middle Ages.

We know that there was a wooden church here in the 15th century, which burned down in the 18th century. In the years 1842-43 a new temple was erected in its place.

The church has an uncomplicated shape of an elongated rectangle. The front is decorated with a modest decoration - flat pillars (pilasters) and a turret for a smaller bell (so-called turret) stand out here.

The interior decoration comes mainly from the 19th and 20th centuries, but a few sculptures from the older temple have survived. Also pay attention to the commemorative plaques (epitaphs) dedicated to local landowners.
