According to the legend, Wojciech - a missionary to Prussia and later a saint, who is the patron of the local church, was supposed to rest in this area.
According to another local tradition, the temple stands on the site of a pagan temple. On the wall of the present church you will find a plaque with information that it was built in 1362 thanks to the efforts of a certain Wojsław - a Sandomierz canon and heir to nearby Mikułowice. It is possible that the Roman Catholic temple already existed in the 11th century.
The Gothic style has been preserved in the presbytery of the church. In the main altar and on the presbytery wall you will find the image of the patron saint of the temple, Saint Adalbert.
From the north, the chapel of the Mother of God was added to the church in the 17th century. Her image adorns the dome of the chapel and the altar. On the base of the altar, you will find a crucifixion scene in which the author has composed the figure of a kneeling family with children. They are the founders of the chapel with their family.
