It is the oldest road that led to the top of Łysiec from Nowa Słupia in pre-Christian times. For centuries, this route was the only access to the monastery for a large number of pilgrims and merchants who deviated from Sandomierz route, which led from the Black Sea and Red Ruthenia to the Baltic cities. Today, there are 14 Stations of the Cross along the route: from the Church of St. Wawrzyniec up to the top of Łysa Góra. There are also two historic stations on the trail.
